Dot NET Domain Names
When the .NET generic top-level extension was first started in 1985, together with the first domains on the Internet, it was meant to be used by Internet Service Providers or infrastructure companies. Since there were no specific terms about the usage of the TLD, though, .NET domains were reserved and used for diverse purposes and by a huge number of people. This extension represents a perfect substitution for dot COM, particularly if the wanted domain with the latter TLD is not available for registration.
Registering a .NET domain with our firm is easy and takes just a couple of minutes, since we partner with an ICANN-certified registrar. You can order such a domain for a period between 1 and 10 years, or, if you already have a domain, you can transfer it to our company and we will renew it once the transfer process is finalized. Transfers are available for all domains, which are at least sixty days old, provided that they are unlocked and that you possess an EPP transfer code – security measures established by the Registry organization to prevent unauthorized transfers. You can easily change the WHOIS contact info of the domain through your Control Panel tool, or, if you don’t want this info to be visible at all, you can add a Whois Privacy Protection service, so no one will be able to obtain your true contact info.
The .NET domain extension supports internationalized names, so you can take a decision if you want to aim at a specific country or territory using a domain name in the regional language, or the global Internet community – using a generic English name.
